Biography:

Born and raised in New York City, Dan Ollen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Manhattan College in 1979 and his law degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 1982. After graduating law school, Dan worked as an associate at a prestigious white-collar criminal defense firm in Manhattan for three years. Dan left the firm to serve as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office for six years, where he honed his trial skills and worked with, and tried cases against, some of the finest attorneys in the nation. During his tenure as a prosecutor, Dan handled thousands of criminal matters and tried dozens of cases, including many homicides.

In 1991, Dan left the District Attorney's Office and opened his private practice devoted exclusively to the defense of individuals and businesses charged with crimes or under investigation by law enforcement authorities. He has tried well over 100 cases to verdict in State and Federal court. Dan is well respected by his colleagues, judges and adversaries. In addition to his work defending his clients, Dan has been appointed as a Special Prosecutor to investigate police misconduct and he is regularly invited to lecture at area law schools, universities, bar associations and prosecutor's offices.

Dan understands New York City, its culture and its people as only a true native can. His combined 29 years of experience as a defense attorney and prosecutor in the country's busiest and most respected District Attorney's office is priceless.
